Without doing what I truly want, life would be without color, without joy, and without meaning. We all have the habits we just need to let them shine. Follow your passion listen to your heart. Go with your intuition. It’s about Renaud Boyer listening to his inner GPS. As the years passed his dreams have grown and he has realized that the only thing that matters is what he is excited about this very moment. It’s far too easy to start questioning what he is doing. But in the end, what matters is how much he is enjoying himself. You can never know where you’ll end up so you might as well enjoy the ride. Courage is something you build up. It’s a muscle. If there is anything I’ve learned it’s that results rarely come fast. Following your passion doesn’t just happen. It requires hard work but the good news is that it’ll be enjoyable hard work for the most part. I became a winemaker out of helping another winemaker. I had no idea if I was going to succeed. In the beginning, my father doubted if making a living making natural wine was possible but I picked up skills that helped me down the road and my priority is doing what I feel excited about. If I can’t do that I might as will be dead. Being passionate doesn’t mean limiting yourself to one passion. I am passionate about many things. But I work best when I’m 100% focused on what I do. So in November 2004 I stepped into something greater than myself. I have bad days like anyone else but in general, I am a pretty positive guy. I feel good as long as I’m following my heart. I personally enjoy being blissfully ignorant especially if it upsets someone else. Those are usually the people that have given up. I am always looking to grow. I want to become better, smarter and happier. But you don’t want to lose the fun.  What works for me is to focus on vineyards and grapes. I have to learn to ease up on my perfectionism instead. If I’ve set my sails for something I shut out everything else and start taking action. Don’t listen to the naysayers because you will run into plenty of them.

Qua puurheid in een adem genoemd met Prieuré Roch en Yann Durieux. 

Opgeleid als ingenieur was hij in eerste instantie helemaal niet van plan om wijn te maken maar door een toeval wordt hij gevraagd om in Saint Romain de biologische wijngaard van Thierry Guyot over te nemen. Hij haalt een BTS en na een stage in Zuid-Afrika begint hij in november 2004 met hand en paard de 5 ha wijngaard tussen Saint Romain en Puligny Montrachet te bewerken. De halve hectare van zijn vader in Meursault Village en de 25 ares Premier Cru Meursault Perrières hoopt hij dit jaar over te kunnen nemen als zijn vader met pensioen gaat. Een enorme kans. In de Bourgogne wordt Renaud Boyer momenteel beschouwd als een van de grootste talenten in het maken van vin naturel. Hij heeft vooral veel kennis en kunde te danken aan zijn leermeesters Pierre Overnoy en Philippe Jambon. Geniale wijnmakers als Philippe Pacalet en Jean-Marc Brignot kloppen niet voor niets bij hem aan om zijn druiven te mogen kopen. Qua puurheid worden zijn verbluffende wijnen in een adem genoemd met de wijnen van Prieuré Roch en Yann Durieux.
